Sugar Show

Be A Part of Art…

the sugar show, in it’s fifth year, is an annual event designed to foster creativity, exploration and dialogue in the performing arts.
The series provides opportunity, exposure, mentorship, support and financial awards to performing artists making new work.  Audience input and voting helps decide who receives the financial awards.
Preliminary “speed pitch” auditions take place at Sugar Space Studio for the Arts in November each year.  The audience and a panel help choose the finalists who will show their work at the Rose Wagner Theater  the following January.
2013 Winners  were  Michelle Player and Tami Whattcott
2012 Winner was Efren Corado

Finalists receive a mentor November-January to help them fine tune their presentations.
Finalists will receive a $1,000 award collectively, with winners receiving the bulk of that, as well as production support for a future show.  The audience and a panel of professionals will vote on the winner and give feedback to the artists.
